What languages does Sync support for lip-syncing?
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Context
Customers often need to create lip-synced videos in multiple languages for their projects and want to know which languages are supported by the platform. This includes major world languages, regional dialects, and less common languages.
Answer
Sync supports lip-syncing in virtually any spoken language in the world. Our models are language agnostic, meaning they can process and lip-sync audio regardless of the language used.
This includes:
Major world languages (English, Spanish, Chinese, French, German, etc.)
Regional languages and dialects
Less common languages (Bengali, Nepali, Arabic, Korean, Japanese, etc.)
European languages (Dutch, Polish, Czech, Portuguese, Italian)
Even singing in various languages
To use lip-syncing in your desired language:
Upload your video file to the platform
Upload or generate audio in your target language
The system will automatically lip-sync the video to match the audio, regardless of language
If you're working with translation and dubbing workflows, the target language support depends on your text-to-speech (TTS) or translation provider. Once you have the audio in your desired language, Sync can lip-sync it to your video.
For more details on translation and dubbing workflows, refer to our Translation/Dubbing guide.
