Payment issues by region: virtual cards, international cards, and geographic restrictions

Last updated: March 31, 2026

Sync processes payments through Stripe, which supports most major credit and debit cards worldwide. However, some payment methods and regions have known limitations.

Virtual cards and prepaid cards

  • Most virtual cards (Privacy.com, Revolut virtual cards, etc.) work with Sync

  • Some prepaid cards may be declined if they don't support recurring payments

  • If your virtual card is declined, try a traditional credit or debit card

International cards

  • We accept cards from most countries

  • Some banks require you to authorize international transactions before they'll approve charges from US-based merchants

  • Contact your bank if you see "card declined" errors with an international card

India and certain countries

Customers in India may encounter issues with recurring payments due to RBI regulations requiring additional authentication for automatic charges.

See: Failed to automatically pay your invoice (from India and other countries)

Workaround: Use a card that supports international recurring payments, or contact us about annual billing (single charge).

Cryptocurrency and alternative payments

  • We currently only accept credit/debit cards through Stripe

  • We don't accept cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or other alternative payment methods for self-serve plans

  • Enterprise customers can contact sales for custom billing arrangements

What to try if your payment isn't going through

  1. Use a different card — a credit card from a major bank works best

  2. Contact your bank to authorize charges from "SYNCHRONICITY LABS"

  3. Try disabling any VPN — some payment processors flag VPN traffic

  4. If in India, see our dedicated guide linked above

Still stuck?

Contact support with your country, card type (credit, debit, virtual, prepaid), and the error message you're seeing. We'll help find a solution.
